Minor girl stabbed to death in Dhaka
Dhaka: A minor girl was killed and three people were injured in an attack by miscreants at Paterbagh in Kadamtali area of Dhaka on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified a Soheli, 12, daughter of Md Selim, an expatriate living in Italy.
Victim’s family members said two miscreants broke into their house at about 8:00pm for robbery.
They stabbed the house inmates, including Soheli, her mother Shaheda Mridha Dolly, 35, and sister Shahara, 7, with sharp weapons.
They also attacked a neighbour named Jalal Ahmed, an engineer of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority, while fleeing the scene after the attack.
The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where Soheli succumbed to her injuries.
Confirming the attack, Kadamtali police sub-inspector Saleh Ahmed said they were not sure whether the incident was a robbery attempt.
Noting that the two attackers were acquainted to the family members, the SI said police were investigating the incident.
