Govt not want to take part in next polls without BNP
Dhaka: Road and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday said the government wants participation of all parties in the next general
election.
"We do not want to take part in the next general election without BNP, " he said while talking to journalists after visiting the activities of instant vehicles registration providing programme at city's Manik Miah Avenue.
Over congenial atmosphere in the next election, Quader, also general secretary of the ruling party Awami League, said his party also wants a level- playing field during the election time, but some people are trying to create a chaotic situation over the issue.
Reply to a query, he said BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman does not have enough courage to do politics facing different obstacles.
He said, "If any politician wants to do politics, he/she should have the boldness to face cases as well as imprisonment."
