Quader urges party men to remain alert on evil forces

Dhaka: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, on Friday called upon the party men to remain alert mentally and organizationally to fight the BNP-Jamaat evil forces.

"Conspiracy is being hatched to thwart the achievement of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Awami League government," he told a discussion in front of Bangabandhu Bhaban on Dhanmondi road number 32 this afternoon.

Awami Swechchhasebak League organised the discussion ahead of the national mourning day.

Mentioning BNP, the Awami League (AL) general secretary said, it always carries out attack as like as venomous snake whenever it get chance and searches for issues but the party could not wage any movement in the last eight and half years.

The minister said when BNP was in power, numbers of people were killed and embezzlement occurred in every sector.

"If BNP again comes to power, the country will face a serious setback," he added.

AL general secretary expressed his hope that the countrymen will cast their votes for his party again in the next general election as the party has made unprecedented development across the country.

AL Presidium Member Lt. Col. (Retd.) Muhammad Faruq Khan, Organizing Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil and Dhaka-10 constituency lawmaker Barrister Fazle Nur Taposh, among others, spoke with Awami Swechchhasebak League President Advocate Mollah Md Abu Kawser in the chair.

Awami Swechchhasebak League General Secretary Pankaj Debnath conducted the discussion.
