President returns home after health check-up
Dhaka: President Mohammad Abdul Hamid returned home last night after medical checkup in Singapore hospitals.
‘A regular flight of Singapore Airlines Limited carrying the president landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at about 10:40pm,’ said President’s Deputy Press Secretary Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad.
He added, ‘On his arrival at the airport, the president was received by Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, dean of the diplomatic corps, cabinet secretary, chiefs of the three services, principal secretary to the prime minister, other secretaries concerned, inspector general of police (IGP) and high civil and military officials.’
The president left Changi International Airport, Singapore, where High Commissioner of Bangladesh Mustafizur Rahman saw him off.
President Abdul Hamid left Dhaka for health check-up on August 6.
