Injured Rohingya boy dies at CMCH
A Rohingya boy, who sustained injured after being hit by a vehicle at Teknaf three days ago, died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on early Thursday.
The deceased is Mohammad Shoeb, 12, son of Enayet Ullah, hailing from Mongdu in Myanmar, reports the UNB.
Alauddin, assistant sub-inspector of CMCH police outpost said that, Shoeb was undergoing treatment at a local hospital in Cox’s Bazar.
As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to CMCH on Wednesday night where he succumbed to his injuries.
Besides, two more Rohingya nationals — Saimul, 15, son of Lal Mohan and Mohammad Jubayer, 45, son of Mir Ahmed, who sustained bullet and burn injuries by security forces in Rakhine State of Myanmar, were admitted to the hospital.
The injured were rescued from Teknaf around 7:00am and admitted to the hospital, said sub-inspector Jahirul Islam, in-charge of CMCH police outpost.
With the two, the total number of injured Rohingyas at CMCH reaches 20 in the last six days.
The Rohingyas have been entering Bangladesh through several points along the Teknaf border following fresh violence in Rakhine State in Myanmar.
