Two killed in Awami League factional clash
Kushtia: Two people were killed and 10 others injured in a clash between two factions of Awami League at Bakhoil village in Kushtia on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased were Billal and Enamul and both are AL activists.
Kushtia Islamic University Police Station Officer-in-charge Ratan Sheikh told news agency UNB that supporters of Jhaudia union council chairman Keramat Ali Biswas locked into a clash with the supporters of ex-UC chairman Bokhtiar Hossain at about 2:00pm over establishing supremacy, leaving two people dead and 10 others injured on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot and fired several rounds of tear shell for bringing the situation under control, added the OC.
