Sunamganj bus plunge kills 2
Sunamganj: Two pedestrians were killed and seven passengers of a minibus injured as it plunged into a roadside ditch after hitting them on Sylhet-Sunamganj Highway in Nilpur area of Sunamganj on Friday morning.
The deceased were Amina Begum, 60, a resident of Bahadurpur village and Badrul, son of Abdur Rahman of Tajpur village in Laxmansri union of the upazila.
Sunamganj Model Police Station Officer-in-charge Md Shahidullah said the Sunamganj-bound minibus skidded off the road and fell into the ditch after hitting the two pedestrians, leaving the duo and seven bus passengers injured.
Later, they were rushed to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital where doctors declared Amina dead.
Injured Badrul succumbed to his injuries after two hours, reports news agency UNB.
