NTV Online awarded as best online portal in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh Online Media Association (BOMA) on Saturday awarded NTV Online (ntvbd.com) as the best online portal in Bangladesh for being popular in home and abroad.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal handed over the honorary award plaque to Head of NTV Online Khandaker Fakaruddin Ahmed in a program held at Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort in the city on Saturday.
Fakaruddin Ahmed heartily thanked Bangladesh Online Media Association for rewarding NTV Online.
AmaderSomoy.Com Editor Nasima Khan Monty was also awarded for her significant role in online media.
Journalist Abed Khan received the lifetime reward for his noteworthy contribution in journalism for long 60 years.
English newspaper The Daily Observer was given the honorary crest as a successful online newspaper. Prime Minister’s Information Adviser and Editor of The Daily Observer Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury received the award.
State news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) senior reporter Morsalin Nomani was provided special honor as a successful reporter.
Bangladesh Online Media Association President Jayanta Acharya presided over the award ceremony and its general secretary AKM Shariful Islam Khan moderated the program.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) President Mostafa Jabbar, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) secretary general Omar Faruk, Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort Limited Vice Chairman Arif Motahar, Focus Bangla news agency chairman Mohammad Kamal Hossain, Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League joint general secretary Gazi Mezbaul Hossain Sachchu, TotalNews24.Com chief editor advocate Md.
