Dhaka: Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha has sent a letter to President Abdul Hamid seeking his permission for going abroad.
The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry received the letter on Tuesday, said Abu Saleh Sk Md Zahirul Haque, Secretary to the Law and Justice Division of the ministry.
In the letter, the Chief Justice said he will leave the country on October 13 and return home on November 11, Zahirul Haque said while talking to UNB over phone.
"We'll send the letter to the Prime Minister first and then it'll go to the President. If the President gives permission, we'll issue a government order (GO) in this regard," the secretary added.
