Zakir Hossain made SC acting registrar general

Dhaka: Md Zakir Hossain, registrar of the Appellate Division (AD), has been given the charge of Acting Registrar General of the Supreme Court (SC).
Acting Chief Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah today issued the appointment order that will come into effect from October 22 afternoon, said a SC official release here.
Md Zakir Hossain has been asked to perform the job of acting registrar general as his additional duty until further order, the release added.
Earlier on October 15, in a major reshuffle, 10 officials of the Supreme Court (SC), including the registrar general, personal secretary (PS) of the Chief Justice and additional registrar, were transferred.
Syed Aminul Islam, the SC registrar general, was transferred as chairman to the Minimum Wages Board of Bangladesh while Mohammad Anishur Rahman, PS to the Chief Justice, as additional district and session judge, Panchagar, and Abu Syed Diljar Hussain, registrar of the High Court (HC), as judge to Special Judge's Court-3, Dhaka.
