Body of teenager found in auto rickshaw
Dhaka: Police recovered body of a teenager girl in a CNG-run auto rickshaw parked in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the early hours of Friday.
Ansar member, appointed at the garden gate of DMCH, discovered the body of a 15-year-old girl early on Friday and called police. Later, police recovered the body and detained the driver of the auto rickshaw in this connection, said the hospital’s police camp duty officer sub-inspector (SI) Bacchu Mia.
The SI said the body was found at a silver coloured CNG-run auto rickshaw parked in front of the garden gate. The auto rickshaw driver is Fulsur Mia. He was taken by police for interrogation.
Quoting the driver SI said, around three people, including man and woman, along with the girl wrapped with a cloth, got into the auto rickshaw from Mirpur 12 bus stand. They said the teenager girl has fallen ill and they are taking her to the hospital.
When the CNG-run auto rickshaw reached DMCH gate, three passengers left the body in the vehicle and went into the hospital saying they are going to call a doctor. However, three of them did not return as the driver waited for a long time with the body.
SI Bacchu Mia said Shahbagh police is handling the case and has already started interrogation. Details about the death will be known later.
The body was taken to the morgue for autopsy.
