Dhaka: A press release that was issued by Bangladesh Islamic Party (BIP) on Wednesday has been made talk of the town on social media.
The press release reads the BIP wants the Saudi Arabia will cancel the nationality of robot Sophia that was given to it earlier.
They also want the Saudi government should seek apology from Allah for their decision of giving nationality to a robot.
The press release signed by its chairman Muhiuddin Ahmed was issued on Wednesday.
The BIP is a supporting party of National Democratic Front (NDF), said the press release.
Allah is the only creator of human being but Sophia is not a human rather a machine. Allah has made the human as ‘Ashraful Makhlukat’, best of all lives, but Sophia is not like that.
The creator of Sophia is also a human. So this robot can not get any nationality.
The Saudi government has made a sin by giving nationality to this robot. So they should seek apology from Allah, said the press release.
