REVE Antivirus receives APICTA 1st Merit award
REVE Antivirus from Bangladesh has been given the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) merit award on Sunday. Bangladeshi cyber security brand REVE Antivirus won this award on security category competing with 16 other countries. Present at the handing over ceremony were the CEO of REVE Systems Ajmat Iqbal, Head of Global Sales Raihan Hossain, CEO of REVE Antivirus Sanjit Chatterjee and Mmarketing Manager Ibnul Karim Rupen.
This is the first time a project from Bangladesh is selected for this award which is also recognised as ‘Oscar of ICT’. Experts are hopeful this will open up new prospect for Cyber Security sector of Bangladesh, says a press release.
CEO from REVE Antivirus, Sanjit Chatterjee mentions that Bangladeshi technology brand REVE Systems bought this product last year after assessment of end-user problems and priority of local and subcontinental consumer group. According to him, getting this award within just one year of launching will enhance their impact on the Cybersecurity sector.
The selection process for this award started on 7th December with joint collaboration of Government ICT Division and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Service (BASIS). On the security category software stability, innovation, market analysis and ability were considered as credibility.
The award was announced after various software being tested by 56 international experts for two days.
This year on APICTA event 17 awards were bestowed in 17 categories. 49 merit awards were also given. Participators from 16 different countries partook on the event.
As the biggest association of ICT division on Asia pacific region, Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) arranges this award ceremony every year to develop the ICT landscape of this region and ensure successful entrepreneurship, software and ICT service. Bangladesh association of software and information services (BASIS) became a member of APICTA on 2015 and this is the very first time APICTA took place in Bangladesh.
