Dhaka: An unidentified body was found in the pond of Shohidullah Hall premises at Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday afternoon.  

DU acting proctor M Amjad Ali said some students found the body of the man, aged around 35-40, floating in the pond at about 2:00pm and informed the DU authority.

Being informed, a fire brigade team recovered the body from the pond around and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue.

Amjad Ali said that the man is not any student or any official of the university.
