One killed and six bullet-hit in Dhaka clash
Dhaka: One person was killed and 10 others injured, six of them with bullets, during a clash between two rival groups on the bank of Balu river at Badda area in the city on Sunday.
The deceased is Kamruzzaman Dukhu, 35.
Quoting the locals, police said the incident took place at around 4:30 pm in front of Crown Cement factory on the bank of Balu river under Bhatara police station. Rivals reportedly belonging to one Faruque group and Beraid Union Parishad Chairman Jahangir group locked in clashes over previous enmity.
During the clash, one person was shot dead while 10 others injured, six of them with bullets, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (Badda Zone) Ahmed Humayun.
Of the injured, nine were admitted to Apollo Hospital.
