Chattogram: Due to torrential rain for the last two days, many places in the city and its adjoining areas went under knee-deep water, causing immense sufferings to the residents.
Water submerged many areas of the port city, including Bakolia, Agrabad, Halisshahar, Bahaddarhat and Chwakbazar, reports the UNB.
People who went out for work had to struggle a lot to reach their destinations.

The Met office recorded 252 mm rainfall till 12 noon in the city, he said.
Besides, the vehicular movement on Chattogram-Rangamati road remained suspended from Tuesday morning as the road went under water in Raozan following heavy rainfall and onrush from the upstream, said Abdul Karim, officer-in-charge of Raozan Highway Police Station.
