BNP leader Badruzzaman Khosru dies
Dhaka: Badruzzaman Khosru, BNP’s religious affairs secretary, died of cardiac arrest at a city hospital. He was 74.
Khosru, also an industrialist, breathed his last at Square Hospital around 4:30pm, said BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
He is survived by wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Sayrul said Khosru’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at a Dhanmondi Mosque after Magrib prayers.
Khosru’s second janaza will be held in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan central office around 11am on Thursday.
Then his body will be taken to Narayanganj’s Araihazar Upazila headquarters after Zohar prayers where his third janaza will be held.
The BNP leader will be buried at his family graveyard at the upazila headquarters after his fourth and final janaza at Haijdi union after Asar prayers.
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock at his death.
In separate condolence messages, they prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
