Bhola: Mentioning that the Sheikh Hasina-led government will act as the election-time government, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Friday said if any political party does not join it, it will be its own decision.

‘The election will wait for none,’ he said while speaking at a function marking the distribution of family silos among people of coastal regions at Sadar upazila parishad conference room, reports the UNB.

Tofail also said the Election Commission will conduct the election which will be free, fair and participatory.

He said they will thwart any conspiracy, as they did in the past under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to turn the country into a Digital Bangladesh. ‘We’ve turned the country into a middle-income one and are going to make it a developing one. By 2041, Bangladesh will be a developed nation,’ he said.
