BNP leader Tariqul Islam hospitalised
Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party standing committee member Tariqul Islam has been admitted to a city hospital as he fell sick.
Tariqul was taken to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital on Wednesday night after he complained of chest pain, BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told United News of Bangladesh on Thursday.
He said Tariqul, also a former information minister, has long been suffering from heart, diabetes, respiratory and various old-age complications.
Meanwhile, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam visited ailing Tariqul at the hospital around 1:30pm on Thursday.
He stayed by the BNP leader for some time and enquired about his health condition.
