2 ‘robbers’ killed in Faridpur infighting
Faridpur: Two suspected robbers were killed after a clash ensued between two gangs of robbers at Madhukhali upazila in Faridpur in the early hours of Friday.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Police said the deceased were in between 30 to 35 years old.
The Madhukhali police Officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Ruhul Amin said police heard some firing noises while patrolling at the village of Chhakrikandi at Raipur union of the upazila on Thursday night.
Later, police with the assistance of local people recovered two injured men and took them to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
The OC said police also recovered a shooter gun, a foreign pistol, some bullets, and local-made sharp weapons from the spot.
The law enforcers also held six suspected men in connection with the clash after conducting a drive in the area.
