Indian Army chief likely due in Dhaka March 30
Dhaka: Ahead of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's New Delhi visit, Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat is likely to be here on March 30 on a two-day visit.
The visit is aimed at strengthening defence and security cooperation between the two countries, Indian media reported on Friday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit India from April 7 to 10.
However, there has been no official announcement from Dhaka yet on General Rawat's visit.
He is also scheduled to pay a two-day visit to Nepal from March 28 before coming to Dhaka, Indian media reported.
If the visit takes place, he will meet President Abdul Hamid, PM Hasina and his Bangladesh counterpart, according to the media report.
