Actor Mizu Ahmed dies at 63
Dhaka: Mizu Ahmed — one of Bangladesh’s popular film actors in negative roles, also a successful producer — died on Monday at a Dhaka hospital, film actor Amit Hassan told NTV Online.
Aged 63, Mizu Ahmed died of cardiac arrest while travelling to Dinajpur from Kamalapur rail station in Dhaka.
Ahmed, known for his villain roles in Bengali films, breathed his last aboard a train at Airport Railway Station around 8:00pm following the heart attack while he along with a team was going to Dinajpur for the shooting of film ‘Manus O Omanus’, film director Ahmed Ilias Bhuiyan told UNB.
Ahmed was born on 17 November 1953 in Khustia. His birth name is Mizanur Rahman.
In 1978, Ahmed starred his film debut with the film Trishna.
After a couple of years, he established himself as one of the best villains in the Dhallywood film industry.
He was also producing film from his own banner, Friends Movies.
