Dhaka: Actress Mahia Mahi starrer Agnee-2 sizzled at the box office and crossed Tk 2crore 10 lakh earning at the domestic box office on the opening day, which created the highest-grossing record in the box office history.

Moreover, the film also earned Tk 1crore 80lakh on its second day of release.

Agnee-2, a sequel of the film Agnee released last year, broke the profit record of the preceding film.

The film’s production house, Jaaz Multimedia CEO Alimullah Kokhon said ‘the film Agnee-2 broke all of the records in the history of Bangla cinema on its first day of release. The sequel has crossed its previous film in every trait. The film released in more than one hundred cinemas including Star Cineplex, Sony, Madhumita in Dhaka, Monihar in Jessore and other cinemas of Khulna, Gazipur, Chala, Tangail, Sherpur.
