Shakib performed in the series with the bat and ball really as the top ranker and played vital role to win the first Test match.

But before South Africa tour Shakib ‘wants’ rest for six month showing personal reason, BCB said.

When asked, BCB Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu told the NTV Online, ‘I think Shakib is our one of the best Test players. Still we believe that he is in the team. After getting formal letter in this regard we will decide it.’
