Soumya Sarkar gets first T20 fifty
Dhaka: Opener Soumya Sarkar has made a well fifty in the first T20 match against Sri Lanka at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
It is the first T20 fifty of Sarkar’s T20 career
After a long time without Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes in the opening stands Zakir Hassan and Soumya Sarkar have started the innings quite nicely.
But unfortunately, other opener Zakir Hassan went back to the pavilion scoring 10 runs while Soumya still on the middle scoring 50.
Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bat first against Sri Lanka in first T20 international match in Mirpur on Thursday.

Pitch and conditions.
The pitch in Mirpur is likely to be slow but still good for batting. The weather in Dhaka has quickly warmed up, with temperatures set to be in the mid 20-degrees range. No rain is forecast.
Besides, Bangladesh are going to play the match with four debut players.
