Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday extended her heartiest congratulations to Bangladesh Under-15 Women Football Team on their victory over Pakistan by a huge margin.

Defending champions Bangladesh thrashed Pakistan 14-0 in the second SAFF Under-15 Women’s Championship in their opening match at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimpu, Bhutan on Thursday, reports the BSS.

In a congratulatory message, the premier greeted all the players, coach and officials of the Bangladesh women football team as well as Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officials concerned for winning the match against Pakistan. She expressed the hope that the winning spree of the Bangladesh team would continue in future.

Defending champions Bangladesh U-15 women’s football team got off to a flying start in the SAFF Women’s U-15 Championship campaign as they blew away Pakistan U-15 women’s team by 14-0-goals in their Group opening match of the tournament held on today (Thursday) at Changlimithan Football Stadium in Bhutan.

Bangladesh clearly dominating the processing after leading the first half by 6-0 goals, reports the BSS.

Bangladesh which drawn in Group B along with Nepal and Pakistan, will play their second and final group match against Nepal on August 13 at the same venue.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-final scheduled to be held on August 16 while the final is slated on August 18.
