Bangladesh likely XI for do-or-die match
The third and final One-Day International (ODI) between Bangladesh and Afghanistan is set to begin at 2:30pm local time at Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur on Saturday. The winner will get the trophy of the three-match series.
Bangladesh will be cautious in the third and final match after being defeated in the previous match. More than one changes might take in place.
Left-arm spinner Mosharraf Hossain was called in on Thursday replacing pacer Rubel Hossain from 14-member squad. Spinners might be effective on slow wicket, was the reason for Mosharraf’s inclusion in the squad. It is likely that He might be in the playing XI on Saturday.
Opener Imrul Kayes might be back in the playing team after being excluded in the second match as Bangladesh batsmen show poor batting skill consecutively in the second match. Kayes was thrown out after playing in the first match where he scored 37 runs.
If Imrul is in, whom is he replacing on Saturday? Is it Soumya Sarker of Sabbir Rahman? Both of them failed miserably in two matches. It is known that Tigers’ coach Hathurusingha still have confidence in Sarker, which means Sabbir is going to miss the final match.
Bangladesh likely XI: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarker, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Taskin Ahmed, Taijul Islam, and Mosharraf Hossain
