Bangladeshi real estate trader stabbed dead in New York
Zakir Khan, a Bangladeshi trader, was stabbed to death by miscreants at Bronx of New York city in the United States on US time Wednesday night.
US-based news agency NY News quoting police said around 44-year-old Zakir Khan was stabbed dead at his residence at Logan Avenue in Bronx at about NY time 9:30pm.
Primarily it has been believed Zakir Khan, a noted personality among Bangladesh community in US, was fatally stabbed during an alleged dispute with his landlord.
Police detained the landlord, in his fifties, for his alleged involvement in the murder.
It has been known that Zakir Khan was a registered Democrat supporter.
Akbar Haider Kiron, director of Bangla TV in New York, said police found Zakir Khan with multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Zakir Khan, owner of Parkchester Real Estate in New York, was a resident of Fenchuganj in Sylhet.
