Chittagong: Former Chittagong mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, also the president of port city unit of Awami League, has been hospitalised early on Sunday.

Mohiuddin, who has been suffering from kidney and heart diseases for long, has been admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Max Hospital in the port city as he fell ill, said Dr Liakat Ali Khan, managing director of the private hospital.

Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) and also General Secretary of City Awami League AZM Nasir Uddin visited the ailing former mayor around 10:00am and queried about his treatment.
