PM releases commemorative postal stamp

Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday released a commemorative postal stamp of Tk 10 denomination marking the International Customs Day, reports UNB.A
She inaugurated the stamp after the regular weekly Cabinet meeting held at Bangladesh Secretariat.
The Prime Minister also released a Tk 10 first day cover and Tk five data card. A special canceller was used on the occasion.
Briefing reporters after the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said Bangladesh Post Office issued the commemorative stamp, first day cover and data card.
The postal stamp, first day cover and data card would be sold from the Philatelic Bureau of Dhaka GPO from Monday while the postal stamps will be available later in all the post offices, including other GPOs and head Post Offices in the country.
State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim, Secretary of the Post and Telecommunications Division Faizur Rahman Chowdhury and Director General of Bangladesh Post Office Probas Chandra Shaha were present.
