Uber launches operation in Bangladesh

Smart phone app Uber, which enables the user to the world’s largest on-demand mobility platform, launches in Bangladesh on Tuesday.
The smart phone app is available in Dhaka to offer safe, reliable and affordable rides at the push of a button while opening up flexible, economic opportunities for driver-partners, said a press release from Uber.
‘Uber will give our community the ease of having rides at the push of a button. Uber has the potential to bring untapped economic opportunity to Bangladesh’, said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the State Minister for ICT.
Uber India and South Asia President Amit Jain said that Uber has a simple goal to use technology to make the cities more accessible while reducing congestion and pollution.
