Dhaka: All banks in Dhaka and Chittagong metropolitan areas will remain open on Friday and Saturday for official transaction of city corporation election candidates.

Bangladesh Bank has already sent directives to the banks chiefs to keep their branches open.

Bangladesh Bank general manager AFM Asaduzzaman said the election candidates can submit their deposit through treasury challan, pay-order and bank receipts during the weekend.
