Sydney, Australia: South Africa's JP Duminy took the ninth hat-trick at a World Cup when he performed the feat against Sri Lanka in a quarter-final at Sydney on Wednesday.

He was the eighth bowler to achieve a World Cup hat-trick, with Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga having two to his credit at the showpiece tournament.
