BAN 307: all eyes on bowlers

Tigers have scored 307 runs against India in Thursday’s match at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka, where the huge crowd, as well as the whole nation, are now waiting to watch what the bowlers have got to show.
A 308-run-target ahead, India have started batting with magnificent bowling attacks from Bangladeshi opening bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed, who from the beginning have kept the pitch noisy with repeated appeals for out to the umpires.
Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Bangladesh opening pair, Tamim Iqbal and Somya Sarkar, made a partnership of hundred runs, the first opening partnership record against India.
Although rain interrupted the play for an hour slowing down the run count, half centuries from Tamim, Somya, and Shakib took the team to a good fighting score of 307 runs.
This was Bangladesh’s first time 300-run score against India, while it was 9th overall in ODI history.
Bangladeshi bowlers are now expected to steal the show by stunning their mighty opponents and bringing the victory that the cricket-crazy nation has been so eagerly looking for since the controversial match against India in the World Cup Quarter Final this year.
Win in any of the three matches of this series will shove Bangladesh Cricket team to one notch up at 7th position in the ODI ranking removing West Indies. This will also help them play in the Champions Trophy in 2017.
Analysts are quite hopeful about the Bangladeshi bowling strength as Narail-express Mashrafe Mortaza Taskin Ahmed, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, and world number one Shakib Al Hasan are ready with bowl.
