Proteas off to fast start beating BCB XI

Dhaka: South Africa beat the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI by 8 wickets in their T20 warm-up match in Fatullah on Friday.
After winning the toss, the BCB XI elected to bat first but they were bowled out for 99 in 18 overs.
Seamer Kyle Abbott (2/2) and left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso (2/19) were South Africa’s main destroyers-in-chief.
The Proteas made light work of their run-chase, reaching their winning target in 12 overs.
Openers Quinton de Kock (35 off 24 balls) and AB de Villiers (25 off 19) gave the visitors a fast start before both opted to retire out.
JP Duminy (17 not out off 13 balls) and David Miller (20 not out off 16 balls) finished the job.
The Proteas will face Bangladesh in two T20s, three ODIs and two Tests, with the first T20 game scheduled for Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Sunday.
