Dhaka: Bangladesh ODI and T20I captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka with dengue fever last week, was discharged from the hospital on Friday after a week-long treatment.
After the release from hospital the Tigers’ captain returned to his Mirpur residence.
‘Mashrafe is now feeling well and the physicians released him to take rest,’ Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physician Debashish Chowdhury told this to reporters on Friday.
Mashrafe was admitted to Apollo Hospital with dengue fever on 9 October.
The ailment delayed the ODI and T20 captain’s plan to return to first-class cricket through the third round of the National Cricket League.
