Miraz 7th Bangladeshi to take a fifer on Test debut

Dhaka: Mehedi Hasan Miraz shine with ball as he grabbed five wickets haul on his debut Test match for Bangladesh against England in the first day of the first Rocket two-match Test held on Thursday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
He is the seventh Bangladeshi to achieve the feat on Test debut.
The talented 18-year old Miraz from Khulna made his International debut for Bangladesh cricket team against the visiting side England in the first Test. He is the 80th cricketer to represent Bangladesh in Tests.
Miraz brought the first breakthrough for the Tigers in this Test match.
He bowled England's debutant Ben Duckett for 14 in the fifth ball of the tenth over to picked his first wicket in International arena. He then sent back Gary Ballance for 1 in the first session. Ballance was given lbw.
Just after the lunch break, Miraz again inroad on English innings as he dismissed England's run machine Joe Root, who added 40 runs. Sabbir Rahman took the catch at the first slip.
Miraz took the big wicket of half-centurian Moeen Ali (68 runs) as he was caught behind. In the last ball of the 82nd over, Mehedi Hasan Miraz bowled another half-centurian, Jonny Bairstow for 52 runs. He claimed his fifth wicket on his Test debut.
Miraz bowled 33 overs on the first day. He bowled 6 maidens and gave 64 runs for his 5 wickets. His economy rate so far, 1.93 runs per over. England finished Day 1 at 258/7 in 92 overs.
