Rising Pakistan batting star Babar Azam, who scored the first Test century of his career in the second Test match against New Zealand, hit out at Zainab Abbas over a tweet from the star Pakistani cricket anchor.

Abbas, a popular anchor in Pakistan who has 1.12 million followers on Twitter, congratulated Babar on getting his first hundred, reports khaleejtimes.com.

But Babar did not like a cheeky line in that tweet.

Well played @babarazam258 - loved how the boys went congratulating Mickey Arthur celebrating his “son’s” century #PakvNZ

‘Well played @babarazam258 - loved how the boys went congratulating Mickey Arthur celebrating his ‘son’s’ century #PakvNZ,’ Zainab tweeted after Babar’s maiden hundred on Sunday.

But the 24-year-old Pakistan batsman apparently didn’t like word ‘sons’ in Zainab’s tweet as it suggested he gets special treatment from the Australian coach in the Pakistan dressing room.

Think before u say something and don’t try to cross ur limits!!! https://t.co/w8I8139OeY

‘Think before u say something and don’t try to cross ur limits!!!,’ Babar shot back on Twitter last night.

Babar, Pakistan’s brightest batting hope, ended his long wait for a Test hundred at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium with an unbeaten 127 as Pakistan declared their first innings at 418/5.

It was Babar’s first hundred in 31 innings in Test cricket.

‘I just go out and try to do my best. I never get worried about my batting position. My only focus is on performing well for my team. I always try to give my 100 per cent,’ Babar told reporters after scoring the hundred on Sunday.

The Pakistan batsman is a prolific scorer in one-day international cricket with eight hundreds in 54 matches.

It was because of his talent and hard work that he has earned the respect of Pakistan coach Arthur.

Perhaps, that’s the reason he was offended by that tweet from Zainab Abbas.
