Bangladesh looking for new batting consultant
Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided not to extend the contract with Sri Lankan batting consultant Thilan Samaraweera.
"We had a contract with him till the Champions Trophy, so now we have parted ways," BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury said to media on Thursday.
The former Sri Lankan cricketer Samaraweera was appointed in September 2016 and was given an extension till the Champions Trophy this year, but the board has decided not to continue with him any more.
BCB is looking for a new batting consultant, said Chowdhury, adding Mark O'Neill, a former Australian first-class cricketer as well as a coach, among the names is being discussed more for the post.
