Mashrafe receives ‘Sera Bangali’ award

Dhaka: Bangladesh cricket team ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has been awarded Sera Bangali award on sports category in West Bengal of India.
Mashrafe received the award in a gala ceremony at Kolkata on Saturday.
Kolkata’s leading Bangla daily Anandabazar Patrika hosts the award every year recognising the contributions of Bangali persons for outstanding contributions to different fields of sports and other sectors.
Former captain Habibul Bashar and star all-rounder Shakib al Hasan received the award in 2007 and 2012 respectively.
The daily picked Mashrafe for his Bangladesh’s brilliant efforts in this year’s Champions Trophy and other ODI successes.
