Paarl, South Africa: South Africa sealed their three-match ODI series with one game still left to play, as they routed Bangladesh by 104 runs at Boland Park in Paarl on Wednesday after crushing the visitors by 10 wickets in the 1st game in Kimberley on last Sunday.

In the 2nd ODI on the day, chasing a bulky target of 354 runs, Bangladesh finished at 249/10 in 47.5 overs where Mushfiqur Rahim and Imrul Kayes shared a partnership of 93 off 18.1 overs in the 3rd pair, including their individual half century.

Starting from 69/2 in 10.5 overs after the departure of Liton Kumar Das, the 3rd pair ended on 162/3 in 29 overs as Kayes was caught by AB de Villiers off Imran Tahir.

Kayes hit a boundary off Paterson in the last ball of the innings 22nd over to complete his 14th ODI half century with 53 off 56 balls at 123/2, finally he was out for top-scoring 68 off 77 balls, including six boundaries and one six.

Hammering 60 off 70 balls, including four boundaries and one six, Mushfiq was caught by Jean-Paul Duminy off Dwaine Pretorius on Tigers' score of 184/5 in 33.1 overs.

To complete his 27th ODI fifty, Mushfiq took a quick-single run in the 28.4 overs off Imran Tahir on Bangladesh's 162/2.

Bangladesh suffered the first jolt losing opener Tamim Iqbal at 44/1 in 7.4 overs as he was trapped lbw by Dwaine Pretorius after scoring 23 off 25 balls, including three boundaries.

Mahmudullah Riyad (35 off 46b; 3x4), Sabbir Rahman (17) and Liton (14) were the other double scorers for the side.

Andile Phehlukwayo 4/40, Imran Tahir 3/50 and Dwaine Pretorius 2/48 tackle the Tigers bowlers in the game.

Earlier, sent in to bat first, the Proteas scored 353 for 6 in 50 overs with man-of-the-match AB de Villiers caning 176 off 104 balls, including 15 boundaries and seven sixes.

Villiers was caught by Sabbir Rahman off pace bowler Rubel Hossain at 343/4 in 47.4 overs after sharing 117 off 11.4 overs in the 4th wicket stand with Jean-Paul Duminy following another worthy partnership of 136 off 18 overs with opener Hashim Amla in the 3rd pair.

Rubel got his form back in the match as he scalped four-for -- Villiers, Duminy, Amla and Dane Paterson -- for 62 runs in 10 overs.

Rubel denied Amla back-to-back century dismissing the South Africa's opener at 226/3 in the 36th over.

Amla, who hit unbeaten century of 110 runs in the 1st ODI, was caught behind by keeper Mushfiqur Rahim scoring 85 off 92 balls, including four boundaries.

Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan took two quick wickets for Bangladesh when hosts South Africa were on 90 in the 18th over.

Shakib made the 1st breakthrough trapping Quinton de Kock by lbw to break the opening pair of 90 in 17.3 overs and then bowled out skipper Faf du Plessis for duck on the same collection in the last ball of the 18th over. Shakib conceded 60 runs for two wickets in 10 overs.

Kock was out for 46 off 61 balls, including one boundary, while Duminy scored run-a-ball 30 to be another double digit scorer for the side.

Imrul Kayes gave a life to Duminy in 44.3 overs dropping an easy catch at point off skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's full delivery at leg stump at 290/3.

This is the 16th loss against three wins of Bangladesh against South Africa in their 19 ODIs, since October 2002.

The 3rd and last ODI of the series will be held at Buffalo Park in East London on Sunday.
