Sri Lanka all out for 222

Dhaka: Sri Lanka were all out for 222 in the first innings of Dhaka test on the opening day at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday.
Taijul Islam took the wicket of ARS Silva (56), who was the last man resisting Bangladeshi bowlers.
Before that Mustafizur Rahman made Herath (2) to spoon a catch to short cover. The ghost of the bouncer trapped Herath on the crease. Simple catching practice for Mushfiqur as the batsman threw his hands at a full delivery outside off.
Earlier, a crucial breakthrough for Bangladesh came just before Tea on the opening day at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday. This partnership was hurting them.
Sri Lanka could potentially already have a good score. Anything over 225 could be substantial on this surface, and potentially match-winning. Bangladesh can walk out with only one plan after the break: wrap up this innings as quickly as they can.
Mustafizur Rahman got Dananjaya out (20) as Mushfiqur at cover dived forward to complete the catch as Dananaya came forward and pushed early, as he chipped it in the air.
Taijul Islam pinned MDK Perera (31) in front of middle and leg, and was given out by the umpire.
Dilruwan asked for a review. The ball looped up on middle, Perera came forward to defend and he got a massive inside edge onto the pad. But that only ruled out the leg before because the ball was caught at silly point.
Earlier, spinner Taijul Islam too joined the party with Razzak as Islam sent N Dickwella (1) back in the second over after lunch.
In the previous over, veteran left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak sent back set Lankan batsman BKG Mendis (68) right after the lunch break.
Bangladesh spinner Taijul Islam took Dhananjaya de Silva (19) after left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak took Karunaratne as his comeback wicket.
Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh in the s2nd match of a two-Test series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday.
Bangladesh has brought couple of changes in their eleven with returning Sabbir Rahman to replace Mosaddek Hossain while veteran left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak, who played his last Test in February 2014 (also against Sri Lanka), got place as Sunzamul Islam has been dropped.
The void left behind by Shakib Al Hasan’s absence, especially in the bowling department, needed fixing and the Tigers’ have gone for the experience of Razzak, who only recently became the first bowler from the country to 500 first-class wickets.
Akila Dananjaya has been handed a Test debut for Sri Lanka ahead of left-arm wrist-spinner Lakshan Sandakan. Lahiru Kumara also makes way for an extra batsman in Danushka Gunathilaka.
