Bangladesh cricket team all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad completed 1000 runs mark in T20I during the final of the Nidahas Trophy tri-nation tournament against India at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.

Mahmudullah has become the 4th Bangladesh batsman reaching the milestone after Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim.

He was four runs behind before starting batting on the day and touched the mark taking two runs off Vijay Shankar when the Tigers were on 74/4 in 11.1 overs and sharing the 5th stand with Sabbir Rahman (30* off 27 balls).

He came down the track and heaved a back of a length ball between deep midwicket and long-on for two runs off Shankar.

Mahmudullah (21 off 16b; 2x4) was run out after sharing 36 off 4.1 overs in the 5th wicket with Sabbir Rahman when Bangladesh was on 104/5 in 14.2 overs.

Making his T20I debut against Kenya in September 2007, Mahmudullah played so far 67 matches and scored 1017 runs at an average of 21.18 with bat and with ball he got 24 wickets conceding average of 32.91 runs in this format.
