Masters Cricket: Rajshahi maintain all-win run beating Dhaka
Cox’s Bazar: Air Asia Rajshahi Masters team maintained their all-win record in the five-team battle of 100-ball Walton Masters Cricket Carnival beating Beximco Dhaka Masters by four runs at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium here on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, Air Asia Rajshahi Masters made a good start in the 3rd version of the Masters Cricket Carnival for the former national cricketers beating Masters Sylhet Sixers by six wickets while Beximco Dhaka Masters earned an exciting one-run victory over Raw Nations Khulna Masters at the same venue, reports the UNB.
Sent in to bat first in the day’s match, Air Asia Rajshahi scored 114 for 7 in 100 balls featuring 28 runs each by Waseluddin Ahmed and Khaled Mashud Pilot and 25 runs by Anisur Rahman.
Later, Waseluddin Ahmed was adjudged man of the match.
Sajal Chowdhury claimed three wickets each for 23 runs.
Chasing a target of 115 runs, Beximco Dhaka Masters were forced to fold their innings for 110 runs for 9 in stipulated 100 balls with Sajal Chowdhury making 23, Rashedul Haque Sumon 20 and Faisal Hossain Dickens 15 runs.
Mushfiqur Rahman grabbed three wickets for 20 runs.
