Bangladesh suffered a 3-0 whitewash against ICC’s new full member nation Afghanistan going down by 1 run as the 3rd T20I at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, India on Thursday produced a last ball thriller.

Bangladesh conceded a 45-run defeat in the 1st match before a six-wicket loss in the second game, reports the UNB.

In the last game , chasing a target of 146 runs, Bangladesh ended on 144 for 5 in 20 overs with last ball thriller of a boundary needed to win. Ariful Haque [5* off 3b] was in the batting end and could manage two off Rashid Khan as Mahmudullah was run out.

Samiullah Shenwari played for 33* off 28 balls, including one boundary and two boundaries, while skipper Asghar Stanikzai [27 off 17b; 3x6] and Najibullah Zadran [15 off 16b; 1x4; 1x6] were other double digit scorers for the side.

Nazmul Islam (2/18) made the first breakthrough for Bangladesh dismissing opener Shahzad. Abu Jayed (2/27), Ariful Haque (1/13) and skipper Shakib Al Hasan (1/16) shared four wickets.
