Asian Games Hockey: Bangladesh to play Malaysia Friday
Bangladesh to play stronger Malaysia in the 3rd Pool B match of the 18th Asian Games Men’s Hockey at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Hockey Ground in Jakarta Friday morning.
The match will kick-off at 11 am (Bangladesh time).
Bangladesh, which keep their bird eyes in the 5th place of the ongoing tournament, are now in the right way to achieve their target beating arch-rival Oman by 2-1 goals in the opening match on Monday and further outplaying Kazakhstan by 6-1 goals in the 2nd match on Wednesday.
Mohammad Arshad Hossain and Ashraful Islam scored for Bangladesh in the opening match against Oman while Khorshedur Rahman struck two, Fazle Hossain Rabbi, Rasel Mahmud Jimmy, Mamunur Rahman Chayan and Koushik scored one each in their 2nd match against Kazakhstan.
In the remaining Pool B matches, Bangladesh will play Thailand on Sunday (Aug 26) and giant Pakistan on Tuesday (Aug 28).
