Asian Games Hockey: Bangladesh win 3-1 against Thailand
Bangladesh national hockey team secured at least sixth place among top six in the Asian Games 2018 after beating Thailand 3-1 in their fourth Pool B match at GBK Hockey Field in Jakarta on Sunday.
The match kicked-off at 3:00pm (Bangladesh time).
Bangladesh (World ranked 31) who have never lost any match against World number 47 Thailand in competitive hockey, now have a good chance to battle for the 5th slot in the Asiad Hockey.
Moreover, the win against Thailand, has opened the golden opportunity for Bangladesh to play directly in the final round of the Asia Cup and Asian Games from next time, without playing the qualifying round.
Bangladesh team made a hard practice session Saturday morning ahead of the match against Thailand and team have no injury problems. Ashraul Islam, who missed the match against Malaysia due to light injury, expected to play against Thailand.
