Dhaka: Khulna Titans posted 151 runs in the first innings against Chittagong Vikings on Saturday in the Bangladesh Premiere League match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Dawid Malan was the highest scorer for Titans, hitting 45 off 43 balls. Titans Captain Mahmudullah Riayd scored 33 off 31 balls, reports the UNB.

Sent to bat first, Titans started their innings with a 31-run stand between Paul Stirling and Junaid Siddique. Paul fell as the first wicket to off-spinner Nayeem Hasan. Junaid departed after adding 10 more runs, with his personal score of 20.

In the third wicket stand, Malan and Mahmudulla added 77 runs. But Vikings bowler Abu Jayed broke the partnership, taking the wicket of Malan.

Sunzamul Islam, the left-arm spinner of the Vikings, bagged Mahmudullah and Carlos Brathwaite in two successive deliveries.

Titans batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto once again failed to shine and departed after adding only six runs on the board.

Sunzamul took two wickets for the Vikings while Robbie Frylinck, Nayeem Hasan, Khaled Ahmed and Abu Jayed took one each to restrict the Titans for 151/6 in 20 overs.
