Dhaka: Dhaka Dynamites will face high-flying Comilla Victorians in a vital clash on Friday at 2pm as the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) resumes at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The Dynamites started the ongoing season of BPL on a positive note as they won five of their first six matches. But they failed to maintain this tremendous run as they lost four of their last five matches which has made their way to the playoffs tough, reports the UNB.

On the other hand, the Victorians are one of three teams who have already qualified to the playoffs. They have won seven matches out of 10 they have played so far.

The Dynamites have secured 10 points and they are in dire need of four more points to ensure a place in playoffs – and two matches to do it in.

After the clash against the Victorians, Shakib Al Hasan-led Dynamites will get another match against Khulna Titans who have already been eliminated from the tournament. Winning both fixtures will ensure they go through.

If the Dynamites fail to win against the Victorians and the Titans, they will be out from the tournament and Rajshahi Kings will advance to playoffs as they have secured 12 points from their full quota of 12 matches in the league stage.

If the Dynamites manage to win at least one game, it will come down to who has a better run-rate between them and the Kings.

There is another match on Friday as Chittagong Vikings will play Sylhet Sixers at 7pm. While the Vikings have already booked a place in playoffs, the Sixers have been eliminated from the tournament.
