Andre Russell scored a fiery 13-ball 48 as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by five wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday.

Russell smashed as many as seven sixes and a boundary in his unbeaten match-winning knock, reports crickettimes.com.

Shubman Gill, who remained not-out on three, took a quick single to help KKR chase down the 206-run target with five balls to spare. RCB, who is placed at the bottom of the points table, suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in the IPL 2019.

After the match, Russell celebrated the victory with his beautiful wife Jassym Lora at the team hotel.

Earlier, Virat Kohli and AB de Villers scored impressive half-centuries as the hosts posted a mammoth 205 for 3 in their 20 overs.

Later, Russell was seen hanging out with his teammates Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik, Kuldeep Yadav and others in the dressing room.
